The ministry of eldership is primarily one of spiritual oversight.

It is entwined with:

  • matters of faith and
  • pastoral concerns

Relationships with God, the minister, other members and leaders, and the community are of fundamental importance.

This ministry is an expression of the gifts and passions as demonstrated by:

  • pastoral visitation
  • an awareness of people’s needs
  • teaching
  • encouraging others
  • assisting the minister and
  • furthering the mission of the church

for the benefit of all.
